Overview
----------------

The basic idea of scrappy is to run around shooting bad guys, while
looking for keys and other items. The goal is to escape from the maze.
Nuff said.

Keys
----------------

When you first fire up scrappy, you can use the left and right arrow
keys to change the game speed. If you have previously saved a game, it will
also ask you if you would like to load the saved game. If you select "no"
it will not erase it.

Once in the game, the keys are as follows:

Arrow Keys: Move you around (surprise surprise)

2nd: Fire a bullet

More: Brings up Status/Inventory screen, returns you to the game

Exit: Asks you if you want to save, then if you want to exit

When you bring up the Status screen, you can change the game speed
by hitting the left or right arrow keys. Your lives and weapon power
are displayed at the top, and any items you have picked up will show up
under Inventory. Weapon power is the maximum number of bullets that you
can have on the screen at one time. It starts at 1.

Items
---------------------

Heart: Gives you another life

Gun: Increases your Weapon Power by 1

White Key: Needed to open the White Lock

Black Key: Needed to open the Black Lock

Compass: Shows your Latitude and Longitude on Status screen

Other Items: Who knows what else you'll find

Badguys
---------------------

Hoverbot: Squarish guys with a dot in the middle. They move around
                fairly spuratic.

Boxers: Black boxes that just slide around and only change direction
when they hit a wall. Bullets have no effect on them.

I need more kinds of badguys, I know.

Saving your game
----------------------

The save game information is saved in a separate string called
savegame. This string can be transfered somewhere else for use later if
you wish. CAREFULL: If you dont have 147 bytes free on your calc, it simply
won't save your game. Only 1 game can be saved at a time. If there is a game
already saved, and you save another one, you over write the old one. The bad
guys that you have killed in the current room are not save. (Dead badguys
are not remembered anywhere) Therefore when you load a saved game, you will
start in the same room, but not exactly where you saved it. (you start
at the entrance so you are not in the way of any badguys)

Other Info
--------------------

This game should now not have any bugs left in it. I did have high
hopes before of adding all kinds of features, but now I'm bogged down in
school. Who knows what may happen though.

Version History
---------------------

Date Version
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
July 1998 v0.7 First release.

April 1999 v1.0 Fixed the savegame feature and various other
bugs. Now savegames are saved as a separate
string file. This game should crash nomore!
