X-LinK uses Omnicalc to connect two calculators via the I/O Link Port
and determines player mode for each calc. It is a useful tool for link
games and chat programs alike. The first person to execute X-LinK becomes
Player 1 and therefore the other calculator will become Player 2. If no
connection is made within 2 minutes (or "MODE" or "CLEAR" is pressed),
results will indicate an exit from the routine or program is necessary.

In order to standardize X-LinK for use with any other program, X-LinK
returns specific values for the three different possible outcomes:
1 - Player 1
2 - Player 2
3 - Quit

Because X-LinK is a separate program, any games using X-LinK must have
appropriate programming that use the resulting integer (from above)
in order to implement its intended use.

An example program might look like this:
PROGRAM:SAMPLE
:prgmXLINK
:If Ans=1:Goto 1
:If Ans=2:Goto 2
:If Ans=3:Goto 3
:Lbl 1
<Player 1 Routine>
:Lbl 2
<Player 2 Routine>
:Lbl 3
<Quit Routine>

One more quick note: If you are new to Omnicalc, there is a special way
to use Omnicalc for link functionality. Use real(26,0) to get data from
another calc, and real(27,#) to send data from your own calc.

**IMPORTANT**
Calcs must have OMNICALC installed and
connected via I/O Link ONLY!!
