About ARPG
*****************

ARPG stands for "A Role-Playing Game", although the game gives it a different name. This is
a piece of ancient history- it was the first and only graphical RPG I have ever made (yet). It isn't
that great, but it is pretty cool. It runs in basic, and I had to lock it just to prevent
cheating.

Installation and Running:
Send all three programs to your calc. Leave them unarchived. Run prgmARPG or select it in
MirageOS Or choose it in the JcPak menu. REMEMBER TO CHOOSE "NEW GAME" OR THE CALC WILL SCREW UP!!!

The object of the game is simple: get to the top of the tower and kill the evil Lord Bob!
Kill all of the enemies on a floor to get to the next. There is also a simple pong minigame
where you can recover hit points between floors.

Saving and the Menu
*****************

During a game, you will see a map screen when not battling. It looks like this:
+----------------+
I I
I I
I******** PSave->I
I X I
IR/L- Move R/L I
IDown-Stats I
IUp-Talk Del-ExitI
I I
+----------------+
Controls are displayed there.
R/L means the arrow keys.

Pressing Down allows you to view your current stats. They are:
HP: How much life you have. When you hit 0, its game over.
Power: How much damage you can deal
CH: The amount of charged energy you contain
Floor Number: What floor you are on.

Key:

X = You
You control him. Move him beneath an object and press up to talk to it. Press the right
arrow key at the far right side to save the game.

P (Pi on the calc) = Healer
This is the healer. He does the same thing as healing during a battle, except maybe a little
better. Talk to him to ask for healing.

* = Minion
Talk to him to start a fight. Defeat them all to advance.

The final row is the message box. It will tell you when you are healed, saving, or what
people say to you.

Battles
*****************

The cool part of the game. They look really neat!
A battle screen looks like this:
+----------------+
IHP:100 HP:20 I Your HP and your opponent's HP
ICH:1 I Your charged energy
I V I
I X) * I Characters: You are the X, the opponent is the *.
I I
I I
IINPUT CHOICE NOWI Message Line
IA C D H QI Command Line
+----------------+

When the Message Line says INPUT CHOICE NOW, press one of the top five keys to do the following:

(NOTE: In case you forget, letters are placed above the keys.

Y=: (A) Attack. Deals damage equal to your power+CH to the enemy, unless it is defending or is minused.
You deal x2 damage when the enemy is minused, and 0 damage when the enemy is defending.
WINDOW: (C) Charge up energy. Increase your charge amount. The more CH you have, the more damage you
can deal. The higher you are in the tower, the more you can charge. Charging minuses you.
ZOOM: (D) Defend. Put your sheild up. Enemies cannot hurt you if your shield is up. Lasts one turn.
TRACE: (H) Heal. Gain HP by fully depleting your CH. The amount of HP for each CH used depends on
how high you are in the tower. Use this as your last resort. You can do this at 1 CH (the minimum)
	to gain a little HP
GRAPH: (Q) Quit. The teacher key.

The enemy can do the following:

Attack: Deals damage equal to its power to you unless you are defending or minused. It deals x2 damage
when you are minused and 0 damage when you are defending.

Defend: Puts up its shield. Attacks cannot hurt it until the shield is down.

Heal: Enemy heals itself. It recovers some HP, but it becomes minused.

Statuses:

V V
X or *: Either you or the enemy are minused. A minused character takes double damage.

X) or (*:Either you or the enemy are defending. A defending character cannot recieve damage.
